On behalf of the IP (Inicjatywa Pracownicza - the Workers' Initiative) Workplace Section at Volkswagen Poland, we would like to express our esteem, warm greetings and sincere solidarity with your strike against the enforced working weekends. Our section was established in August 2017 also in the face of extended working time in the Volkswagen factories in Poznań as well as passivity of the "Solidarność" union, which recently agreed on introducing the 17th shift (second shift on Saturdays). Although "Solidarność" has been present in Volkswagen for many years, it is trying to silence workers' discontent and does not protest against extending work time and the work norms. IP in Volkswagen was established in order to express workers' discontent with current situation in the company.
Solidarity to strike at VW Portugal on 30th of August
75% votes by ballot of the employees against the planned introduction of regular work on Saturday at VW location in Palmela (Lissabon) express a determined „No“. Starting with first day of strike on 30th of August, they want to stress their demands. Further days of strike are intended in September, if VW does not cancel the planned tightening of exploitation. Considering the result of voting the Workers Commission resigned. They had given in majority their consent to the agreement, which was dictated by VW in guide of blackmailing.
Dear Sigi and Andi,
Coordinating Group of International Automotive Workers Coordination is sending our warm congratulations to both of you, honouring your active and militant appearance in public against the emission frauds at VW and Porsche.

Let’s Build up and Strengthen the Automotive Workers Coordination!
May Day must not be only a celebration, but a day of struggle of the working class for its common goals, because the gains are always the result of an continual struggle. The capitalists want to reverse the gains workers have won, and launch ever new attacks to maximize profits through super-exploitation. The increasing competition between multinational monopolies, and the chaos of the capitalist market lead to economic and political crises, worsening working conditions for workers and the livelihood of their families. This also leads to wars causing the migration of millions of people and refugee crises. An arms race has started and growing militarization and spreading of wars.
